Happy 11 to the Z-man

My oldest kid, Zack turned 11 this week, I really love how much my family loves adventure, he celebrated his birthday with an awesome Letterboxing birthday, Mom made all his guests letterboxing starter kids, back packs, notepads, and let them each choose their own stamp,
The kids all seemed to have alot of fun down at 7 mile creek finding their first ever Letter Box, if you don't know what letter boxing is, I totally recomend you check it out for some FREE Family fun!!

Other big news this month is that L addopted an elf of her own at a garage sale last month!!  So now all three kids will have an elf of their own, How cool that I get assigned to Z the month of his birthday, I'm so excited to meet the new elves!

Pirates of the Caravan..

So I know in February, I was totally bragging about how awesome, my family's mom is but really, after you read this post, if you dont agree you must have a SERIOUS case of bahumbugs.  For Easter, She took the kids and Great Grams on a Grand adventure all the way down to Nashville Tennessee to visit Nana and Papa and meet some new friends,
I'm sure most of you would assume she bought some video games and dvd players to keep them occupied for the 17 hours it took to drive down, but you are SOOOO wrong, Instead she planned out a pirate adventure, she also made them all sorts of cool costumes and Loot, and treasure maps of the trip... Cool right? I know!!!

I am so jealous that I missed out on this awesome trip!  next time I am TOTALLY going with!

Happy Easter From my family to yours!!

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened...

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind."

My favorite thing about the month of March is that people remember and celebrate the Awesomely talented Dr Seuss, And let me tell you how flippin excited I was when I saw my 3 favorite kiddos Dressed up in honor of Dr Seuss this month :)

Are they not absolutely ADORABLE? I mean seriously, I totally hit the jackpot on an awesome family!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I really love all the creativety of my family, Mom helped the kids make all their valentine's, and they were super cool, She even helped PD make a guitar valentine box, she is officially the coolest mom EVER!  it's been a busy month for them, L got a hair cut, I hardly recognized her pictures.
She celebrated turning 5 with a monkey pajama party.

Things at the north pole have been slowing down a bit, everyone seems to have recouporated from the big Christmas rush, and life is business as usual!

One month....

It's been one month since I left my family on Christmas eve, Oh how I miss them!

When Santa returned from his Christmas Duties, and had gotten his rest, I went to visit with him and he told me some GREAT NEWS!! He said that I did such a great job with the family I had that he will be sending me back again, he said I might even have new friends this year!  He said that while out Shopping Pd had spotted some elves that looked JUST like my Best Bud ED, and he asked his mom if she was really doing all of the elf work, his mommy said NO WAY, do I have time for that, but sometimes Santa sends his elves to the store for families that do not KNOW about magic elves to buy as his secret spies ;)  PD begged mom for one, and she said OK, they tried to think of a name for him the whole ride, and when they got Home, PD wrote Santa a letter asking him if he could please let his new elf be a magic elf, Santa said he will be comming to the North Pole to do the E.I.T. workshop this fall!!

I have been watching all the fun that they have been up to on Mom's facebook page, last week they went to Monster Jam, with monster trucks for Dan's Birthday,
it looks like a LOT of fun!

It's Party Time!! and our goodbye day :(

So... things got a little bit sad today, when my family learned that my sister's family would not be joining us for the big Elf party that had been planned :( There were some angry words and alot of sad tears flying around, when FINALLY, Micki said "the party must go on", she threw on some Christmas music and the kids ripped into their gifts that I'd brought, I have never seen such excitement, it's a shame that Santa is not around to see the joy that HE brings to all the girls and boys that he brings gifts to on Christmas!

They Loved the Christmas PJ's we made for them!

At bed time we said our goodbyes, and when the kids went to sleep I made them one last gift to always remember the year we spent together, Christmas bulb ornaments with our pictures on them to hang on the tree.  I am so glad that Santa gave me this opportunity to come celebrate the most magical time of the year with my awesome new family.  It was so hard to leave them tonight :(

2008 Christmas Eve Elf Party

One of the BEST things about being at the Cabin is I'm only a few minutes from Penelope, it has been so awesome hanging out with her, all week we have been super busy working on projects for our elf party, we made all 6 of our kids Elf hats, little mini Christmas stockings, Christmas Pajama's, and some fun Christmas games, we also gathered up a few Christmas projects for them to do, made them a CD of our favorite Christmas songs, and brought them each a very special reindeer to leave with them when we have to return to the north pole tonight :(  I cannot wait for the kids to wake up and see all of our hard work when their cousins and Penelope arrive in the morning!
